Glacial National Park
We drove up to Glacial National Park today, about 60 km east of Revelstoke. It was the 125th birthday of the park. We had fun looking around the Discovery Centre which had displays about the history of the park, guiding, and alpine hiking.
Sophie spent the day with her friend Mikayla. They sat on the Shuswap Daycare float for the Fall Fair Parade and then they spent a couple of hours at the midway on the rides.
Finally we topped the day off with likely the last dip in the pool for the year since we are going to shut it down later next week (in spite of the weather being a very warm 30+ degrees). Our friends Bryan and Patti came over for a glass of wine after dinner to tell us about their summer holidays through the Prairies and we compared notes on the Copper Eagle in Greenwood.
