On Sunday afternoon we had about 10 adults and 12 kids over for a belated birthday for Fynn and a quasi house warming party. To be honest, it was a great way to kill two birds with one stone. We got to see some friends we haven't seen socially in awhile and the little guy celebrated his birthday (again) in style.
When it was all said and done, I told Vic we only entertain about twice a year for a reason: it's expensive and it is a lot of work. Sophie's room looked like a bomb hit it afterwards and the kitchen was a disaster.
All for a good cause however. But it is nice to look forward to a more mellow weekened.

Sounds like a lovely party (they are exhausting, aren't they?). Glad you are settling in.
It's expensive and a lot of work... but isn't i a blessing to enjoy company in your own home?? It's beautiful, by the way!
