Christmas party

I adore getting dressed up.  It is one of my favourite things to do.  It has not always been this way.  I remember a time in my 20s and even into my 30s where I really could not be bothered too much.

A bit of a light bulb went off in my head in the past couple of years with the passing of time.  I realized that I would not have forever to enjoy getting dressed up, wearing heels, getting my hair done (although I have long been getting my hair styled before big events), etc.

For this event, my work Christmas party, I wore my Banana Republic dress that I got for a charity function last winter.  Some sparkly shoes, hair and makeup and I was set.

Here we are just before we went out.

JCI Gala - A Night In Paris

We were fortunate to attend the JCI fundraising gala - benefiting the VJH Foundation’s $2.5 Million Tower of Care Campaign to equip and furnish the 6th and 7th floors of Polson Tower at VJH.  Fynn was born at VJH.

It was a great opportunity to get all dressed up and visit with my friend Veronica who invited us as her guests.

I love having an opportunity to go out and do something special.

Date night

The kids each had a friend take them to the Silverbacks hockey game tonight, which meant Vic and I had a free couple of hours.

We opted to go out for pub food.

Nice break.

I'm also enjoying a couple of books right now - this one and this one.
