After almost two years of looking at the curtains in our bedroom, which are a sorry state of affairs, we broke down and enlisted in Linda Whittaker, a local seamstress to help us with a new pair. She is very talented - she helped me with Sophie's pumpkin Halloween costume 5 years ago and got me back interested in sewing.
She has been over twice to our house now, this time with her books of sample fabrics. This is the fun (and slightly overwhelming) part of the process. I'm really looking forward to having the room look more polished.
