Brownies

Tonight was Sophie's first session of Brownies.
She was a little nervous at first, but she met her friend Hunter and then a couple of other girls from her school she recognized (Mia and Sabine) and all was well. I stayed and watched and in an hour and a half, the girls had a lot of fun. A few games, a craft (making their nametags), learning some rules, and making a marshmallow person.

Guiding is an accepting environment . The programs and activities are exciting, and offer girls the chance to discover new interests and to learn valuable leadership skills with friends. Guiding gives girls the tools and resources they need to achieve greatness.

I was asked twice if I wanted to be a leader, but said I needed to watch how things went a bit first. I have a fair bit on my plate this fall, although it does look like a lot of fun.
