Concours

In French, concours basically means a competition.

Sophie participated in her school's Concours today. She and her classmate Connor were chosen from her class to present their poems to the French Immersion classes from K - Grade 5 (with Grade 1 - 5 doing their oral speaking).

Vic and I went to her school at about 8:30 and shortly after her name was called and she went up on the stage and recited her poem in French. She did so well! She spoke clearly, with great pronounciation and did all of the "actions" that went along with the words.

For a girl that did not want to speak in class a few months ago, she has grown in leaps and bounds. We are proud of you Sophie!!
