a bit of this and that...
So, after letting my thoughts settle following our vacation, I've concluded the following:
- we were very smart to bring 2 strollers. 5 year olds still get tired after walking all day.
- ahhh, always better to check the strollers at the gate at the airport. easy-peasy.
- i don't know how some women wear 5 inch heels at Disney. I just don't.
- a $150 gift card that Disney kicked in since we stayed on site does not go very far, my friends.
- there is nothing like going to the pool at the end of a hot day.
- I always feel like I'm cheating on Disney when I go to Universal Studios. I just do. (The Simpson's ride there is very good).
- Single rider and Switch passes (for mom and dad who have to take turns on rides) are the BEST!

What I wore to work today
Another blog I read mentioned this blog. I've been reading her posts and she's inspired me to think differently about how I get dressed or put my clothing pieces together for work. I don't have the time or stamina to prepare a daily post about what I wear everyday, but I did give it a try this morning.
Orange tee by Mexx, little jacket by Lole, pants by Mexx, shoes by Aerosoles and bracelet by Silpada. It's kind of interesting and a bit telling to see yourself in a photo. I like my pants, but the little jacket now seems too casual for this look. The little shirt did give me a pop of colour -- something I try to do a bit more of these days.

Easter = fun + family
We drove down to my parent's place for Easter weekend (yah, 4 day long weekends).
Easter morning began bright and early about 6:50am. Travis and Sophie found a few eggs that were scrattered around the living room to keep them busy for a little while. Then it was on to receiving their little pails that contained some spring clothes, gardening seeds, bubbles, books and a toy (I scored on a Schleich sale a few weeks ago).
Later, Vic and I took Sophie and Fynn down to Osoyoos for lunch at Smittys. We then headed back to mom and dad's for an outdoor Easter egg hunt. Cousin Jackson, Scott, Joanne, Joy and Scott (her Scott) joined us. Then Vic's mom came for turkey dinner. It was a nice very full day!

Hoppy Easter
We had a little fun tonight after dinner.
Sophie and her traditional ears.
Fynn grinning like a goof.
We then headed outside for some fun. Nice to be in a cul-de-sac.
Off to make some bunny sugar cookies for daycare tomorrow.
Happy Easter!

crazy busy weekend
I feel like I'm just catching my breath now.
I was in a Communications Workshop (basically public speaking) from Friday - Sunday at 2pm. It was a great course and it's felt like a long time since I've been able to devote that much unfettered time to my own development for work. My final speech could be on anything of our choosing. I chose to talk about my passion for scrapbooking (go figure).
Vic had a busy weekend with the kids needless to say. We had a get together with some of the parents on Saturday night for kids that are going into French Immersion kindergarten and then I needed to finish up my speech for my class the next day, so it was a late night for me.
When I pulled up at 2pm on Sunday after the workshop Vic was ready for a break. I grabbed the kids and we went to a birthday party at our public pool for Sophie and a little friend of hers.
Looking forward to a little bit of downtime at Easter.
