some energy

yesterday i noticed a glimmer of energy returning.
i shuffled off to aerobics class saturday morning. it felt good to move.
had poached eggs for lunch out. i'm loving poached eggs - probably because that is what they fed me in the hospital when i was heaving my tummy up several weeks ago.

i'm hoping that some semblance of feeling normal is coming back.

slowly.

my anxiety trajectory

i am a wreck.
for no real reason.
i just can't stand the waiting, waiting for my next doctor's appointment, next U/S, next whatever.

the internet sucks me into the land of worst case scenarios each time.
ladies, the worry seems even worse the second time around.

hugs :)

i'm still alive

i haven't given up on my blog.
just so, so tired after work it is all i can do to clean up after dinner, give sophie her bath and maybe throw a load of laundry on.

my sweet SIL Joanne left us with a couple of her yummy lasagnes when she visited last weekend. thank you Joanne - they are so appreciated.

sleep comes quickly these days.

back at it in a few days :)

i present you: Palm Springs

i'm not a Palm Springs glamour gal

just got back from a week of vacation down to Palm Springs.
Okay, great shopping, lovely sunshine (360 days per year), wild cactus and Joshua Trees.

do NOT understand or perhaps I'm mostly envious of, perfectly put together groomed women. they are the THING in P.S. not everyone, but a number of them seemed to be at our hotel. acrylic French tipped nails, perfectly tanned skin (i don't tan), cute capris or little dresses and heels (heels? on holidays?) and just right makeup. oh, and yes the oversized Channel sunglasses.

me. i have my prescription sunglasses (not Channel), no finger nail polish (just picked off clear stuff) and in my almost 40 years, I still can't do makeup to get the "flawless" look. plus i am a brunette with short hair. we are in short supply in P.S.

don't get me going on the 60+ plus crowd of "tanned to an inch of their lives" ladies. and did i mention plastic surgery?

anyway --- found some new stores to love.

this one.
and this one (and i'm no where near 21).
